These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the TradeHub Local website and mobile application (the "Platform"), operated by TradeHub Local ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, browsing the Platform, or using any of its features, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform. These Terms apply to all users, including Homeowners (individuals seeking tradespeople) and Tradespeople (individuals or businesses offering home-improvement services).

"Homeowner" — a registered user who posts local recommendation requests, requests job quotes, views portfolios, or leaves vouches for tradespeople.

"Trade / Tradesperson" — a registered user who creates a Trade Profile, publishes Project Studio portfolios, receives inbound job quotes, and may be vouched for by clients.

"Calling Card" — a public, shareable profile page for a Trade displaying their business details, portfolio, and vouches.

"Vouch" — a public endorsement left by a Homeowner about a Trade, which may include ratings, comments, and media proof.

"Project Verification" — the process by which a past client confirms a published transformation via a unique verification link, resulting in a "Verified Homeowner Project" badge.

You must be at least 18 years old to register. By creating an account you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. Accounts are non-transferable.

Tradespeople offering services must hold any licences, certifications, or registrations legally required to perform their trade in the United Kingdom, and must carry valid public liability insurance where applicable.

TradeHub Local is an introduction platform. We are not a party to any contract for home-improvement work entered into between a Homeowner and a Trade. We do not employ, control, or warrant the tradespeople listed on the Platform, and we do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any work performed.

Any agreement for services, pricing, scheduling, deposits, or warranties is made directly between you and the other user. You engage a Trade (or accept a job, if you are a Trade) entirely at your own risk.

As a Tradesperson you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current business, insurance, and coverage information on your Trade Profile and Calling Card.
• Keep your portfolio (Project Studio) truthful and publish only images of work you have genuinely completed.
• Respond to inbound job quotes and scheduling requests in good faith and within a reasonable timeframe.
• Not solicit payment outside of agreed terms, and never request full upfront payment without a written agreement with the Homeowner.
• Comply with all applicable UK laws, including consumer protection, building regulations, and health & safety requirements.

We may, at our discretion, verify or remove insurance badges, suspend listings, or revoke Verified status where we believe a profile is misleading or a Trade has breached these Terms.

As a Homeowner you agree to:

• Provide accurate project details, photos, and location information when requesting job quotes.
• Only request quotes for genuine projects you intend to progress and not misuse the Platform to price-shop without intent to hire.
• Leave vouches and verifications that are honest and based on real experience; you must not post false, defamatory, or retaliatory content.
• Not use the contact details of a Trade for any purpose other than arranging the proposed work.

Trades may invite past clients to verify a published transformation through a unique verification link. A "Verified Homeowner Project" badge indicates only that a client has confirmed the transformation shown; it is not an endorsement by TradeHub Local and does not constitute a warranty of future workmanship.

Vouches and verification comments reflect the personal opinions of the users who posted them. We do not endorse and are not liable for the content of any vouch, comment, or testimonial. We reserve the right to remove content that is unlawful, abusive, or fraudulent.

You agree not to:

• Impersonate another person or business, or misrepresent your qualifications, insurance, or identity.
• Post false vouches, self-vouch, or coordinate fake reviews or verifications.
• Use the Platform to harass, discriminate against, or defame another user.
• Attempt to access data, accounts, or systems you are not authorised to access, or reverse-engineer the Platform.
• Upload content that infringes the intellectual property or privacy rights of any third party.
• Use the Platform for any illegal, fraudulent, or commercial resale purpose not expressly permitted by us.

TradeHub Local does not charge Homeowners to use the Platform. Tradespeople may access features on a Starter or Pro membership tier. Tier details, pricing, and included features are published on our Pricing page and may change from time to time.

Where a paid tier is purchased, you will be charged the fees shown at checkout on a recurring basis until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Unless required by UK consumer law, fees are non-refundable.

We never take a commission or "lead tax" on work arranged through the Platform. All payments for work are settled directly between the Homeowner and the Trade.

You retain ownership of the content you post (portfolio images, vouches, comments, business details). By posting content, you grant TradeHub Local a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content within the Platform for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform.

You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to all content you upload, including the right to display images of client properties, and that the content does not infringe any third-party rights.

We may remove or restrict content that we believe violates these Terms or applicable law, without notice and without liability.

The TradeHub Local name, logo, design, software, and Platform content (excluding user content) are owned by us and protected by UK and international intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Platform without our prior written consent.

Third-party trade marks, brand names, or imagery shown on the Platform remain the property of their respective owners.

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, express or implied, relating to the Platform, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any Trade or Homeowner is reliable, qualified, or trustworthy. You rely on profiles, vouches, and verifications at your own judgement.

To the extent permitted by law, TradeHub Local shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including any loss arising from work performed by a Trade, the accuracy of a vouch, or the outcome of a home-improvement project.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the preceding twelve (12) months, or £100, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

You agree to indemnify and hold TradeHub Local harmless from any claim, loss, or damage (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Platform, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

We may suspend or terminate your account, remove content, or revoke badges at any time if we believe you have breached these Terms or pose a risk to the Platform or its users. We may also suspend or restrict access for administrative or legal reasons.

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your licence to use the Platform ends, but published content may remain visible until removed at our discretion.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the Platform or by email. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where UK consumer law entitles you to bring proceedings in your local courts.

Before pursuing formal action, we encourage parties to attempt to resolve disputes informally and, where appropriate, through alternative dispute resolution.
